Wind energy is the core business of Parkwind NV, a Leuven based company. They develop, finance, build and operate wind farms in the North Sea. One of the shareholders of Parkwind is the Colruyt Group, a top player in the Belgian, French and Luxembourg food and non-food distribution sector.
Parkwind is ambitious and wants to become the reference in the innovative branch of renewable energy. Cost efficiency increase is one of the ways to realize this ambition. This is where Business Consulting stepped in. Business Consulting helped Parkwind in defining and integrating internal processes in marine coordination, QHSSE management (Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) and asset management, supported by one integrated IT platform.
Business Consulting has mapped business processes and application requirements, drafted the request for proposal (RFP) and advised Parkwind in the application vendor selection. The implementation phase has started, in which Business Consulting acts as project manager and business consultant for Parkwind, and sparring partner for the application vendor.
