The supply chain never stands still. In response to new developments, APICS is constantly adapting its training programs. That’s why the CPIM training will soon receive a major update, and you can count on learning the most up-to-date industry knowledge and skills.
Under the name CPIM 8.0, the two parts of the CPIM program will be bundled into a single course. Instead of the two exams you had to sit for CPIM version 7.0, there will be just a single exam going forward.
There are several reasons for the update. First, the consolidation of content will lead to a better overall experience for students and should also result in more candidates achieving certification, as was the case after our previous update. Also, the update guarantees a consistent train-to-test experience across all our certification products.

Key deadlines for the current CPIM Part 1 and Part 2 courses and exams:
- January 4, 2023: Launch presales of the CPIM 8.0 learning system and bundle
- January 31, 2023: Last day to purchase CPIM 7.0 self-study bundles, CPIM 7.0 Part 1, CPIM 7.0 c, CPIM 7.0 Part 1 learning systems and CPIM 7.0 Part 1 exam credits
- February 1, 2023: First day to purchase CPIM 8.0 authorizations for testing. Start of delivery of CPIM 8.0 learning systems and bundles
- April 30, 2023: Last day to purchase CPIM 7.0 Part 2 learning systems, CPIM 7.0 Part 2 exam credits and bundles of CPIM part 2
- June 1, 2023: First day to sit the CPIM 8.0 exam
- July 31, 2023: Last day to purchase CPIM 7.0 ATTs (authorization to test)
- February 1, 2024: Last day to sit the CPIM 7.0 exams Part 1 or Part 2
