Mathieu joined the team after several years of research at KU Leuven, where he completed a PhD in Bioscience Engineering. His work focused on developing new ways to fight bacterial biofilms, combining microbiology, genetics, and chemistry. He also gained international experience during a research stay at the AO Research Institute in Switzerland.
With a strong background in lab work, data analysis, and scientific writing, Mathieu is now applying his knowledge to support companies in securing regional and national funding, including through VLAIO. He is passionate about helping organisations turn their innovative ideas into funded projects.
