Moore is filling a gap on the map of West Flanders by merging with Certam Bedrijfsrevisoren. In doing so, Moore Belgium adds no fewer than four new offices in Flanders and around 40 experts in business consultancy.

PRESS RELEASE – Brussels, Friday December 17st

After the earlier integration of Flamand in Knokke and Mint Europe in Kortrijk, the arrival of Certam in Wevelgem means a strengthening of the local positioning and proximity to the customer target group of mid-market companies and SMEs. They increasingly need 360° professional business advice tailored to their size and specific requirements. This latest joining of forces with a leading player in the audit and consulting market is part of Moore Belgium’s expansion strategy as the largest independent Accounting and Consulting service provider.

Until mid-2020, Moore Belgium was mainly represented in the central triangle between Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels, with additional offices in the Flemish Ardennes, Herent and Hasselt. In 2021 Moore enjoyed a significant expansion of its presence in Limburg, where PKF-VMB and Meekers Accountants joined the group, and in West Flanders with the arrival of Flamand and Mint Europe. With the arrival of Certam, Moore now also has offices in Wevelgem, Waregem, Ypres and Bruges. Certam’s 40 employees are mainly active in the fields of Audit and Tax & Legal services.

Piet Dujardin and Kristof Planquette, Partners at Certam Bedrijfsrevisoren: “Over just a few years, Certam has developed into an important financial service provider in Audit and Tax & Legal advice. We are now ready for the next step in our growth path. In Moore we’ve found the right partner with a very similar corporate culture, which puts its customers first and gives its employees the opportunity to develop themselves. With this step, we will continue to focus on high-quality, no-nonsense support and guidance for our customers and business partners.”

Local 360° business consulting

With the integration of Certam into Moore Belgium, the companies are taking a sustainable step in the further growth of their unified business by focusing on knowledge growth and broader career opportunities for their employees. The pooling of knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit is an additional asset for the mid-market and SME clients who seek business advisors at Moore, with expertise in tax and corporate law, auditing, accountancy, business consulting and data analysis. In this way, local Belgian players find a partner who can offer full 360° business advice tailored to their size, projects and needs.

By joining forces with Certam, we are further expanding our Moore story both geographically in West Flanders and in terms of expertise. Following our previous integrations in accounting & consulting, I am very pleased that we are now also strengthening our Audit and Tax & Legal Services teams. This new partnership will ensure our team has every opportunity to grow and that together we will be able to serve our clients even better,” says Peter Verschelden, Chairman of Moore Belgium.
