Horizon Europe – Pillar 2: Digital, Industry and Space

Horizon Europe’s Cluster 4 Digital, Industry and Space supports research and innovation to boost Europe's technological leadership and strategic autonomy in digital technologies, advanced manufacturing, raw materials, and space.

  It advances the green and digital transitions through climate-neutral and circular value chains, trustworthy AI, and sustainable access to space. Activities also promote human-centric innovation, Industry 5.0, and alignment with the Net Zero Industry Act and Critical Raw Materials Act. Proposals must involve at least three partners from three different EU Member States or associated countries, including academia, industry, and other relevant sectors.

Focus Work Programme 2025:
  1. Achieving global leadership in climate-neutral, circular and digitised industrial and digital value chains
  2. Achieving technological leadership for Europe's open strategic autonomy in raw materials, chemicals and innovative materials
  3. Developing an agile and secure single market and infrastructure for data-services and trustworthy artificial intelligence services
  4. Achieving open strategic autonomy in digital and emerging enabling technologies
  5. Open Strategic Autonomy in Developing, Deploying and Using Global Space-Based Infrastructure, Services, Applications and Data
  6. Digital and industrial technologies driving human-centric innovation

 Funding percentage:
  • RIA: Up to 100% for all participants
  • IA: Up to 70% funding (up to 100% for non-profit legal entities)
Average support per Project:
  • From €2 M up to €20 M
