Jens joined the team in August 2023. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and following a brief postdoctoral research tenure at Ghent University, he assumed the role of Innovation Officer at the same university. Over a span of 3 years, Jens focussed on advancing research initiatives in diverse areas of circular carbon such as carbon capture, CO2 valorisation, plastics recycling, and process intensification. His efforts extended across funding programmes regionally (VLAIO, Catalisti), nationally (ETF) and at European level (Horizon Europe, Interreg). His expertise continues to benefit innovative organisations by supporting grant proposal development and the grant management of approved research projects in the focus area of Green, Advanced Materials, Manufacturing & Energy.
