# Horizon Europe – Pillar 3: EIC Accelerator

The **EIC Accelerator** supports highly innovative SMEs with high-risk, high-reward projects that address a clear funding gap and require support to become investor-ready.

 

 

 



  
 Supports high-risk, high-impact deep-tech projects by innovative start-ups and SMEs, bridging the funding gap to help them become investor-ready and disrupt or create new markets.

##### Duration:

Innovation activities: 12 to 24 months

Market deployment activities: up to 49 months

##### TRL:

5-6 to reach 8-9

 

 


- Supports the development of business concepts into market-ready innovations, including breakthrough technologies, products, processes, services, and business models and their successful market rollout.
- Focuses on 'deep tech' innovations that build on scientific discoveries or technological breakthroughs, where substantial funding and long development timelines are required before generating returns (‘patient capital’).

 

 


#####  Funding percentages:

- 70%

##### Support per project:

- Grant only up to €2,5M
- Blended finance: Up to €2.5M grant and equity up to €10M

##### Applications: 

- Calls for proposals
