A leading global life sciences company operates in a highly complex and uncertain environment, driven by the variability of its R&D pipeline and clinical trials supply chain. While the organization had already implemented OMP+, an advanced planning system, opportunities remained to further strengthen planning capabilities. Limited end-to-end visibility, scattered data sources, and long lead times were impacting efficiency and inventory performance across the global network.

As part of a broader system upgrade, the OMP+ platform was enhanced to support advanced planning functionalities and improved data integration. Structured process redesign workshops, grounded in SCOR principles, helped define future-state planning processes and clarify roles and responsibilities. Detailed user requirements guided system configuration, while agile sprint cycles ensured iterative and efficient delivery. A strong focus was placed on change management, including stakeholder alignment, targeted end-user training, and hypercare support to secure adoption and operational continuity.

The transformation resulted in a truly integrated business planning environment, significantly reducing planning cycle times and optimizing inventory levels across the supply chain.
